I am Jenny Foxe. I am a teacher in a District 75 school in NYC. District 75 provides highly specialized instruction for students with significant challenges. The majority of my students are diagnosed with autism and their skill sets and difficulties vary dramatically. I try my best to reach each student where they are at. I like to build on my students’ interests and special abilities. I have found that the use of educational technology is an extremely effective way to engage my students. In 2016, I was given the role of technology teacher and a beautiful but empty new technology lab. To learn more about what tools are available to me to use in my classroom, I embarked on a learning journey. I am still on that journey but I would be delighted if you’d come along with me. I’ll do my best to catch you up on what I’ve learned so far.
